Think about a surgical team. Would you want only the surgeon to be accountable while the anesthesiologist and nurses were less so? Of course not! Every person has a vital role and must take full ownership of their part.
How to Build True Accountability:
1️⃣ Clarify Responsibility – Ensure everyone understands and commits to their role, task, or project. Shared responsibility works only when roles are clearly defined.
2️⃣ Give Ownership – Empower people to take risks, make mistakes, and innovate. True ownership cannot be shared—it must be taken.
3️⃣ Practice Accountability – Develop the discipline to assess actions, ask hard questions, and celebrate accomplishments.
