En: The wind howled over the dry plains of ancient Mesopotamien.
Sv: Vinterens kyla bet i huden och gjorde marken hård och karg.
En: The winter's chill bit at the skin and made the ground hard and barren.
Sv: I en liten by, där fälten nu var skamlöst tomma, låg Lars vaken och tänkte på sin familjs framtid.
