Description
[verse 1] If love is so tender, so patient and kind, then what greater force in life could we find? In all of our troubles and trials we go through, our love will be strong, enduring, and true. For we are not perfect, our flesh often fails, as a ship tossed at sea with faltering sails. The wind and the waves will soon take their toll, but redemption depends on Who’s in control. [chorus] To pilot a ship, One must know the way, when passing through storms, at the helm He will stay. Our hearts must be trusting and free from the fear, that peace and the solace when Jesus is near. [verse 2] For that which we pray, and ever desire, we trust in our Savior, our hearts to inspire; to help and to hold, through tempest and storm, together we love, in Him safe and warm. The truth of this song will not pass away, our love lasts forever unto that perfect day. When Jesus the Lord will give us our due, until then my heart will always love you. [bridge] Between you and me there’s strength to abound, for our love has deepened and surely is sound. evermore stronger, evermore real, for the Lord Himself has caused us to feel. [chorus] To pilot a ship, One must know the way, when passing through storms, at the helm He will stay. Our hearts must be trusting and free from the fear, that peace and the solace when Jesus is near. (That peace and the solace when Jesus is near.) [instrumental ending] (Jan. 8, 2026 edition)
