When you wake up in the morning, how do you feel about the day ahead?

Is your first thought a negative, "Good Lord, it's morning!"? And you just want to stay in bed.

Or, are you filled with excitement and anticipation expressed through a greeting, "Good morning, Lord!" And you're looking forward to the day ahead of you.

Each day is a new day. A new opportunity to have a cheerful heart. Inwardly, we are being renewed day by day through the resurrection life of Jesus burning within us (2 Corinthians 4:16). Pause and think about that. You face a new day being a new person!

"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness" (Lamentations 3:22-23).

If you love the Lord, every day should be a new start. A fresh beginning. Begin today with a "Good morning, Lord," not a "Good Lord, it's morning."

"This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it" (Psalm 118:24).
