Failing to Prepare Is Preparing to Fail

Published 3 years, 8 months ago
Description

It's an oft-quoted phrase in the business world today, coined by Benjamin Franklin in the 1700's: "Failing to prepare is preparing to fail." It must be true given its staying power!

Are you aware that this truth is deeply rooted in Scripture?

The Valiant Woman plans ahead. "She is like the ships of the merchant; she brings her food from afar" (Proverbs 31:14).

"The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty" (Proverbs 21:5).

Wise leaders plan months and years ahead. "A ruler with discernment and knowledge maintains order" (Proverbs 28:2 NIV).

How to wisely prepare? Think ahead! To your next month. The next several months. The next few years. To the end of your life as you approach meeting your Creator. Be prepared as much as possible.

For if you fail to plan, you are planning to fail.
