Your mental health matters. Your mental health matters more than anything else. Your mental health is not a burden. Your mental health does not belong on the backburner. Attending to your mental health does not take away from others. These are some of the narratives around our emotional well-being we as Full-Time Black Women have to stop telling ourselves. We are no good to anyone most importantly ourselves if we ignore and neglect our mental health. Since October is depression and mental health awareness month, we wanted to have Audreyonna Sequale, host of Strong Friend Check-In podcast as a guest to discuss this topic.
Bio: Audreyonna Sequale is a self-proclaimed “Jill of all trades” who has used her voice to advocate for mental health since being diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder in 2018. Over the years, she has created a blog AuthenticallyASB.com and podcast Strong Friend Check In to document her experience living with mental illness. As she became more transparent about her diagnosis, she noticed that others became more comfortable sharing their stories as well!
She has now transitioned from an advocate to a resource as a certified Mindset Coach! Her number one goal in her practice is to help multi-talented, multi-hyphenate women learn to become more grounded as they use their gifts to create a better world.
