Fi: Lumi peitti Helsingin asuinalueiden kadut, ja hengitys huurusi ilmaan kirpeässä pakkasessa.
En: Snow covered the streets of Helsinki's residential areas, and breath misted into the air in the crisp frost.
Fi: Joulun valot ripustettiin vielä moniin taloihin, ja ne kimaltelivat kirkkaasti alla olevan lumen pinnalla.
En: Christmas lights were still hung on many houses, sparkling brightly against the snow-covered ground.
Fi: Aino ja Eero istuivat Ainon keittiön pöydän ääressä.
En: Aino and Eero sat at Aino's kitchen table.
Fi: He olivat lähdössä kouluun.
En: They were about to leave for school.
