Ja: ヒロシの家はいつも賑やかでした。
En: Hiroshi’s house was always lively.
Ja: 庭には大きな門松（かどまつ）が立ち、玄関にはしめ飾りが掛かっていました。
En: A large kadomatsu stood in the garden, and a shimekazari hung at the entrance.
Ja: これは毎年のお正月の伝統でした。
En: This was an annual New Year tradition.
Ja: ヒロシは亡くなった両親を偲んで、この飾りを立派に整えるのが好きでした。
En: Hiroshi liked to decorate brilliantly in memory of his deceased parents.
Ja: しかし、新しい隣人のサクラはヒロシの飾りが華やかすぎると思っていました。
