He tells a story of hope and perseverance through the trials of life as a black man and banker in America as he rises to become one of Wall Street's top traders. Derek received his MBA from Duke University and has worked at many of the top investment firms including Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, Lehman Brothers, and Fidelity. He is currently a member of the Board of Trustees at Charles Schwab.
