Sl: Matej je stal na obali Blejskega jezera.
En: Matej stood on the shore of Blejsko jezero.

Sl: Bilo je hladno novoletno jutro.
En: It was a cold New Year's morning.

Sl: Sneg je prekrival drevesa.
En: Snow covered the trees.

Sl: Na jezeru je bila debela plast ledu.
En: On the lake there was a thick layer of ice.

Sl: Matej je pogreznil pogled v zmrznjene valove.
En: Matej sank his gaze into the frozen waves.

Sl: Vedno si je želel pustolovščine.
En: He always wanted an adventure.

Sl: Danes je bila njegova priložnost.
En: Today was his chance.
