Every new year brings new goals and fresh opportunities, but the greatest success comes from aligning our lives with God’s priorities. God has called us to more than self-improvement. He has called us to live for His glory. As we endure hardship, turn from sinful living, keep eternity in view, love others deeply, and serve with the gifts He has given us, our lives can make a lasting difference.

IN THIS MESSAGE

#1 DEVELOP AN ATTITUDE THAT ENDURES

Following Christ is not always easy. Like Jesus, believers are called to remain faithful through hardship, entrust themselves to God, and refuse to allow suffering to turn them away from obedience. (1 Peter 2:23; 1 Peter 4:1)

#2 CHOOSE GOD’S WILL OVER WORLDLY DESIRES

A transformed life leaves behind sinful patterns and pursues obedience to God’s Word. Through God’s grace and the power of the Holy Spirit, believers can resist sin and live in a way that honors Jesus Christ. (Romans 6:11-14; Titus 2:11-14; 1 Peter 4:2-6)

#3 LIVE WITH ETERNITY IN MIND

Because history is moving toward God’s appointed conclusion and Christ will return, believers are called to remain spiritually alert, devote themselves to prayer, and use their limited time wisely. (Psalm 90:12; 1 Peter 4:7)

#4 LOVE OTHERS DEEPLY

Biblical love extends grace, strengthens relationships, and practices hospitality without complaining. Jesus said that the way Christians love one another should identify them as His disciples. (John 13:35; 1 Peter 4:8-9)

#5 USE YOUR SPIRITUAL GIFTS FOR GOD’S GLORY

Every believer has received gifts from God to serve others. As we faithfully use those gifts through the strength He provides, the church is strengthened, people are helped, and God receives the glory. (Ephesians 4:11-13; 1 Peter 4:10-11)

Build your life around God’s priorities rather than your own. Endure faithfully, pursue holiness, live with eternity in mind, love people well, and use your God-given gifts to make an eternal difference.
