Colts Sign Ekeler, Waive Thomas
The Indianapolis Colts have signed cornerback Wyett Ekeler to their practice squad, the younger brother of Washington Commanders running back Austin Ekeler. Wyett, an undrafted safety from Wyoming, had a solid college career and earned honorable mention All-Mountain West honors in 2023. He racked up 46 tackles, including 28 solo stops, 1 interception, and 1 pass defensed in 9 games last year. The Colts also waived offensive tackle Zach Thomas, who joined the team mid-December but never saw game action due to the return of starting left tackle Bernhard Raimann.
