The Lord said, “I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows. So I have come down to deliver them.” Exodus 3:7–8 

On this New Year’s Day, let’s look at the moment we’re now living in. The increasing downward spiral is very troubling indeed. We all see this spewing of hatred, violence, and division. 

Isn’t it time we come together and pray for our nation? It’s important that we know that we’re not praying to some distant cosmic entity who isn’t interested in the things of this world or willing to intervene. 

He is a God who is willing to deliver us. You and I need to stand in the strength of God with the confidence of God, and we need to begin to call out for a nation that has truly lost its way. Now that would be a truly Happy New Year.
