The Lakers hoped to end their losing skid as they continued the homestand with a Sunday night matchup with the Sacramento Kings. And after listening to Coach JJ Redick's outbursts to the press, and getting to be a full witness to more at practice on Saturday, the Lakers did come out more defensively as they turned in a small lead in the first quarter to a much larger one in the second and third with more effort on the defensive end (a season-high 14 steals). Add in Luka Doncic's 34 points, LeBron James' 24, and Nick Smith Jr. with a spirited 21 points off the bench, and you get a recipe for an easy Lakers victory with a 125-101 crowning of the Kings.
