Sl: Matej je stal na robu zamrznjenega ribnika v Tivoliju.
En: Matej stood on the edge of the frozen pond in Tivoli.
Sl: Njegov pogled je begal po zasneženem parku, kjer so visoka, bela drevesa rahlo brnela na zimskem vetru.
En: His gaze wandered over the snowy park, where the tall, white trees slightly rustled in the winter wind.
Sl: Bil je zadnji večer v letu in ljudi je bilo malo.
En: It was the last evening of the year, and there were few people around.
Sl: Večina Ljubljančanov se je pripravljala na novoletno slavje doma ali v mestu.
