Cs: Únorové odpoledne v Římě.
En: A February afternoon in Římě.

Cs: Piazza Navona je plná života.
En: Piazza Navona is full of life.

Cs: Lidé se tísní v kavárně, která má výhled na náměstí.
En: People are crammed into a café overlooking the square.

Cs: Vánoční světla svítí, káva voní, smích se rozléhá.
En: Christmas lights shine, the coffee smells, and laughter echoes.

Cs: Jiri seděl u stolu s cappuccinem a prázdným plátnem.
En: Jiri sat at a table with a cappuccino and an empty canvas.

Cs: Přišel do Říma, aby našel inspiraci.
En: He came to Říma to find inspiration.

Cs: Ale jeho myšlenky se pořád vracely domů, do Prahy.
En: But his thoughts kept returning home, to Prahy.

Cs: Vedle něj seděla Milena.

En: "It's from my ex," he said quietly, so other guests wouldn't hear.

Cs: "Má nový život, ale chce, abych ji znovu viděl. Že prý máme nevyslovené věci."
En: "She has a new life, but she wants to see me again. She says we have unresolved things."

Cs: Podíval se na zasněžené náměstí.
En: He looked at the snowy square.

Cs: Milena chápala víc, než by si přál.
En: Milena understood more than he wished.

Cs: I ona měla jizvy na srdci.
En: She too had scars on her heart.

Cs: "Musíš vědět, co chceš," řekla pevně.
En: "You have to know what you want," she said firmly.

Cs: "My všichni hledáme odpovědi. Možná jsi právě teď tady, abys je našel."

Cs: Jiri mlčel. Rozmýšlel se.
En: Jiri was silent, pondering.

Cs: Slyšel hudbu a smích ze všech stran.
En: He heard music and laughter from all sides.

Cs: Zimy v Praze byly kruté, ale tady, v Římě, našel klid.
