Season 2 Episode 8
In this episode of Another Bloody Podcast, Rochelle sits down with Jaklyn, a single mum, breast cancer survivor and survivor of domestic violence. Jaklyn shares her journey from a happy childhood to the moment she had to flee to safety, driving through the night with her children in tow. Not long after, she faced an 18-month cancer battle while trying to hold everything together. During one of the hardest periods of her life, Jaklyn received an It’s in the Bag, something she could hold onto when everything felt overwhelming. The note inside helped her keep going, and a special item inside boosted her confidence as she completed chemo. This is an honest and deeply moving conversation about survival, dignity, and the power of being seen when life feels impossible.
