En: A cold winter wind was blowing through the streets of Dubrovnik, carrying with it the scent of conifer branches and freshly roasted walnuts.

En: Christmas lights twinkled at every corner, creating a cheerful atmosphere.

En: Ivan and Ana walked slowly towards the market, as snowflakes gently fell around them.

En: "Ivan, we’re sure to find everything you need," said Ana cheerfully, looking at him with a smile.

En: "I hope so," replied Ivan, somewhat worried.

Hr: Nedostajao mu je bakin božićni stol, i želio je ponovno osjetiti taj zaboravljeni okus djetinjstva.
En: He missed his grandmother's Christmas table and wanted to experience that forgotten taste of childhood again.

En: Today, they were searching for ingredients for the traditional dinner his grandmother always made.

En: As they passed between the stalls, the market was full of people.

En: There were vendors with various spices, fresh fruits and vegetables, and butchers loudly offering the best cuts of meat.

Hr: „Pogledaj“, rekla je Ana, pokazujući štand prepun svježeg povrća.
En: "Look," said Ana, pointing to a stall full of fresh vegetables.

Hr: „Možda ovdje možemo naći domaći kupus.
En: "Maybe we can find some homemade cabbage here."

Hr: “Ivan je klimnuo i prišao štandu.
En: Ivan nodded and approached the stall.

En: They chatted with an old lady behind the stall who was selling her homegrown produce.

En: In the end, they found all the spices and vegetables they needed, except for one important ingredient: dried plums.

Hr: „Što ćemo sada?
En: "What do we do now?"

Hr: “ upitao je Ivan, osjećajući laganu frustraciju.
En: asked Ivan, feeling a slight frustration.

Hr: „Ne brini“, rekla je Ana odlučno.
En: "Don't worry," Ana said determinedly.

Hr: „Prošetajmo još malo.
En: "Let’s walk a bit more."

Hr: “Njihova potraga ih je dovela do malog, skrivenog štanda u kutu tržnice.
En: Their search led them to a small, hidden stall in the corner of the market.

En: The old man behind the stall was already packing up his things.

En: Ana quickly asked him if he still had any dried plums.

Hr: „Imam nekoliko“, rekao je starac toplo i pokazao malu vrećicu.
En: "I have a few," the old man said warmly and showed a small bag.
