The Magi left behind comfort and certainty to seek the Savior. Their journey reminds us that true joy is rooted in God’s presence, promises, and purposes. As we take steps of faith, refuse to let fear or comfort control us, follow God’s direction, and offer Him our best, we experience the joy only Christ can give.

IN THIS MESSAGE

#1 TAKE THE FIRST STEP TOWARD JESUS

The wise men responded to the light God had given them and began a journey of faith. God often reveals His will one step at a time, calling us to trust and obey Him before we know every detail of the path ahead. (Isaiah 55:6; Matthew 2:1-2; James 4:8)

#2 DO NOT LET FEAR OR COMFORT KEEP YOU FROM CHRIST

King Herod resisted Jesus because he feared losing power, while the religious leaders knew the prophecies but did not join the search. In contrast, the Magi pursued Christ despite uncertainty, distance, and inconvenience. (Matthew 2:3-8; Matthew 16:24)

#3 FOLLOW THE LIGHT GOD GIVES YOU

As the Magi continued their journey, God faithfully directed their path. Believers experience God’s guidance as they follow His Word and obey what He has already revealed. (Psalm 119:105; Matthew 2:9-10; James 1:22)

#4 OFFER JESUS YOUR BEST

The wise men responded with worship and generous gifts because they recognized Jesus as King. Genuine worship places Christ first and gladly offers Him our time, abilities, resources, and devotion. (Matthew 2:11-12; Romans 12:1)

Joy is worth pursuing because Jesus is worth following. Take your next step of faith, trust God’s leading, and give Christ your very best as you discover the lasting joy found in Him.
