Story Transcript:
Sk: Na kopci nad obcou sa rozprestierali starobylé ruiny Spišského hradu.
En: On the hill above the village loomed the ancient ruins of Spišský hrad.
Sk: Snežienky padali ticho ako pírka na kamenné steny, akoby hrad sám skrýval svoje staré tajomstvá.
En: Snowflakes fell quietly like feathers on the stone walls, as if the castle itself was hiding its old secrets.
Sk: V tejto zimnej krajine stáli Zuzana a Marek, dvaja súrodenci stratení v čase a spomienkach.
En: In this winter landscape stood Zuzana and Marek, two siblings lost in time and memories.
Sk: Bolo to prvé Vianoce, ktoré trávili bez rodičov.
En: It was the first Christmas they spent without their parents.
En: Each felt the loss differently, but now they decided to come here together, to a place that reminded them of their childhood.
Sk: Zuzana držala Mareka za rameno, jej staršie oči smerovali k výšinám ruin.
En: Zuzana held Marek by the shoulder, her older eyes directed towards the heights of the ruins.
En: "Do you remember those summers, Marek? How we used to chase each other over these walls?" she asked in a quiet and gentle voice.
Sk: Marek len prikývol s úškrnom.
En: Marek just nodded with a smirk.
Sk: „Jasné, vždy si tvrdila, že si tu videla draka,“ zasmial sa a kopol do snehu.
En: "Sure, you always claimed you saw a dragon here," he laughed and kicked the snow.
En: But behind his laughter lay a deeper pain, which he was afraid to show.
En: It was his way of defending against the memories that weighed on him.
En: Zuzana stopped on the steps leading to the highest part of the castle.
Sk: „Chcem, aby sme mali novú tradíciu,“ povedala vážne.
En: "I want us to have a new tradition," she said seriously.
Sk: „Raz do roka sem prídeme a budeme spomínať. Rodičia by si to priali.“
En: "Once a year, we come here and remember. Parents would want that."
Sk: Marek sa zastavil.
En: Marek stopped.
Sk: Jeho obvyklý úškrn sa vytratil.
En: His usual smirk disappeared.
En: "Remembering is good... but it hurts," he finally admitted.
En: It was clear he wanted more time to process things in his own way.
Sk: Ako stúpali, slnko už začalo zapadať a zimný vietor im v studenej objímačke šepkal staré piesne.
En: As they climbed, the sun began to set, and the winter wind whispered old songs in a cold embrace.
En: At the top of the ruins was a breathtaking view.
En: The air was cold and sharp, yet it radiated a certain purity.
Sk: „Marek...“ začala Zuzana, keď sa obrátila ku svojmu bratovi, „pamätáš si na tú noc, keď nás otec varil grog a mama spievala vianočné koledy?“
En: "Marek..." Zuzana began as she turned to her brot
