Published 3 months ago
Description
President Donald Trump has broadened a U.S. travel ban to include nationals from five more countries and individuals traveling on passports issued by the Palestinian Authority. According to the White House, the measures are aimed at safeguarding U.S. national security and are set to take effect on January 1. Under the expanded policy, full entry restrictions will apply to citizens of Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, South Sudan, and Syria, as well as holders of Palestinian Authority travel documents. David Bier, Director of Immigration Studies at the Cato Institute, joins Newell to discuss the implications.
