Et: Tallinna raekoja platsil oli jõulumeeleolu täies hoos.
En: In the Tallinna town hall square, the Christmas atmosphere was in full swing.

Et: Lumi kattis vanad kivikäänud teed ning õhk oli täis piparkookide ja kuuse lõhna.
En: Snow covered the old cobblestone roads, and the air was filled with the scent of gingerbread and fir trees.

Et: Maarja ja Juhan jalutasid aeglaselt läbi rahvarohke turu.
En: Maarja and Juhan walked slowly through the crowded market.

Et: "Maarja, ära kiirusta," ütles Juhan.
En: "Maarja, don't rush," said Juhan.

Et: Tema hääl oli lõbus ja rahulik.
En: His voice was cheerful and calm.
