The Miami Hurricanes beat Texas A&M 10-3 in the College Football Playoff thanks to a dominant performance in the trenches!
The Hurricanes sacked Aggies QB Marcel Reed 7 times, with future first round edge rusher Rueben Bain accounting for three of them. Bain found extra motivation for the game after being dismissed and disrespected in the buildup by Aggies left tackle Trey Zuhn III. Running back Mark Fletcher Jr was Miami’s offensive MVP, rushing for 172 yards and setting up the game-winning score. True freshmen Malachi Toney and Bryce Fitzgerald came up clutch. Toney scored the go-ahead touchdown and Fitzgerald sealed the win with his second interception of the game.
The Hurricanes held Texas A&M to 3 points or less at Kyle Field for the first time since 1921.
