En: It was summer on the plaas, and the heat caused the ground to crack.
Af: Kobus, altyd entoesiasties, het gewikkel en gewoel om die plaas vir Kersfees mooi te maak.
En: Kobus, always enthusiastic, bustled about to make the plaas look beautiful for Christmas.
Af: Marelize, die slim plaasvrou, het 'n wakende oog oor alles gehou, terwyl Johan, haar jonger boetie, met 'n ondeunde glimlag rondgeloop het.
