Lt: Virš baltos žemės, pro retus debesis, saulė švelniai žiebė Mindaugo ir Eglės ūkyje.
En: Above the white earth, through sparse clouds, the sun gently shone on Mindaugas and Eglė's farm.
Lt: Pievos vis dar alsavo vilčių, kad žiema nebus pernelyg žiauri.
En: The meadows still breathed hopes that winter would not be too cruel.
Lt: Mindaugas, turės sakyti, elgėsi ramiai ir tradiciškai, kaip ir daugelį metų iš eilės.
En: Mindaugas, it must be said, behaved calmly and traditionally, as he had for many years in a row.
Lt: Žemės ūkio laikrodis tiksėjo be sustojimo, o darbus reikėjo atlikti.
En: The agricultural clock ticked on without stopping, and there was work to be done.
