Welcome back to the slime show.
I’m Bree — also known as Slime — and I’m just hanging out.We’re six days out and I still haven’t gotten my Dad a gift. I talk about weather-induced headaches, nonstop rain, suspiciously warm December temperatures, and the handymen rebuilding the front deck while I vacuum and do laundry like a productive adult.I’m also using a counterfeit Shure MV7 (yes, really), tweaking DSP through the Shure Motiv app via my phone because I use Linux, and overanalyzing how bright podcast microphones are supposed to sound.There’s a full grocery haul breakdown — Costco, Target, Trader Joe’s — including lemonade (my favorite drink), Olipop, multiple cheeses (Boursin, baby Swiss, black truffle cheddar), chocolate mousse cake, and a passionate defense of the Trader Joe’s lemon chicken & arugula salad (which I may like better without the chicken).We get into new headphones, backup earbuds, Podcasthon prep, charity picks, creative rust, and my very serious desire to abandon beds entirely in favor of a human-sized cat tree as housing.Low stakes.
