Cohn Won't Seek Re-election, Endorses McRae
North Carolina State Representative Bryan Cohn, a Democrat, is not seeking re-election, ending the partys hopes of maintaining a supermajority in the state house. Cohn, who won by a narrow margin in 2024, cited family and business priorities for his decision. He endorsed Curtis McRae for the Democratic primary, while Frank Sossamon, the Republican incumbent he defeated, is running again. The race for the 32nd district seat is set to be contested.
