Church Hurt, Conflict, and Biblical Reconciliation | Extra Shot
Description
Church hurt is real. So what does biblical reconciliation actually require from us?
In this Extra Shot, Cody digs into conflict, offense, forgiveness, and the conversations Christians are often tempted to avoid. Scripture does not call us to gossip, stew in resentment, or wait indefinitely for the other person to make the first move.
This episode looks at Matthew 5, Matthew 18, Romans 12, Colossians 3, and James 1 to ask a practical question: when something is broken between believers, who goes first? The answer is uncomfortable but clear — the one who knows something is broken takes a step toward peace.
Reconciliation does not mean pretending the wound did not happen. It means pursuing truth, humility, forgiveness, and obedience without using conflict as an excuse to disappear.
Peacemaking is not passive.
Sometimes grace looks like having the conversation.
Scripture: Matthew 5:23–24; Matthew 18:15; Romans 12:18; Colossians 1:20; 2 Corinthians 5; Ephesians 4:26; James 1:19; Colossians 3:13
