Published 3 months ago
Description
Oil companies bid nearly $300 million for offshore drilling rights in the Gulf, as the Trump administration moves to boost domestic oil production. Thirty companies submitted more than 200 bids for offshore tracts, many of them located near Louisiana’s coast, with Chevron and BP among the top bidders. Louisiana Mid-Continent Oil & Gas Association President Tommy Faucheux joins Newell to talk about what “an exciting moment [this is] for Louisiana,” and how, in many ways, it is a “return to normalcy.”
