Man Arrested for Convenience Store Murder
Hashim Black, a 52-year-old man from Hillsborough, was arrested on a first-degree murder charge for allegedly shooting and killing John Henry Singleton, 53, inside a convenience store on November 15th. Black is currently held in Durham County jail without bond. The arrest comes as Durham sees a decrease in gun violence, with 159 people shot this year, 26 fatally, compared to 214 shot and 31 fatally at the same time last year. The community and law enforcement remain vigilant in addressing violent crime.
