Ro: Drumul Transfăgărășan se întindea ca un șarpe argintiu, învăluit în mantia albă a iernii.
En: The Drumul Transfăgărășan stretched out like a silver serpent, wrapped in the white mantle of winter.

Ro: Pe cerul gri, fulgii cădeau grațios, acoperind totul cu o liniște sărbătorească.
En: In the gray sky, the snowflakes fell gracefully, covering everything with a festive silence.

Ro: Mașina lui Matei înainta încet, iar pe bancheta din spate, Andrei și Elena vorbeau animat.

Ro: Era Ajunul Crăciunului, iar cei trei prieteni erau pe drum spre o cabană la munte, unde urmăreau să petreacă sărbătoarea.

Ro: "Însă realitatea nu era deloc promițătoare.
En: But the reality was not promising at all.

Ro: Traficul se blocase complet, iar zăpada continua să cadă imperturbabil.
En: Traffic had come to a complete standstill, and the snow continued to fall undeterred.

Ro: Mașinile stăteau aliniate ca niște soldați înghețați, iar Matei simțea cum încep să se scurgă minutele de Crăciun.
En: The cars stood aligned like frozen soldiers, and Matei felt the Christmas minutes starting to slip away.

Ro: Matei se uită la ceas.
En: Matei glanced at his watch.

Ro: În mod normal, acum ar fi trebuit să fie deja ajunși, cu focul trosnind în cabină și aromele de scorțișoară legănându-se prin aer.

Ro: "Cu o combinație de curaj și un strop de nebunie, Matei își îndreptă mașina către un drum lateral, mai puțin circulat.
En: With a mix of courage and a dash of madness, Matei steered his car onto a side road, less traveled.
