Nl: Bastiaan keek peinzend naar de dichte poorten van de Keukenhof.
En: Bastiaan looked thoughtfully at the closed gates of Keukenhof.

Nl: De winterlucht was fris en helder, en er hing een lichte geur van dennen rondom.
En: The winter air was fresh and clear, and there was a light scent of pine all around.

Nl: Het was een rustige dag; de bezoekers waren verdwenen en alleen Bastiaan en zijn zus, Evi, liepen rond.
En: It was a quiet day; the visitors were gone and only Bastiaan and his sister, Evi, were walking around.

Nl: Elk jaar ging hun familie naar deze prachtige tuinen met Kerst, ook al bloeiden er in de winter geen tulpen.
