Colts Sign Rivers, Place Smith on IR
The Indianapolis Colts have signed veteran quarterback Philip Rivers, who will start in Sundays crucial Week Fifteen game against the Seattle Seahawks. To make room for Rivers, the team placed right tackle Braden Smith on injured reserve due to a concussion and neck injury. Rookie Jalen Travis is expected to fill Smiths spot. The Colts also elevated defensive tackle Chris Wormley and wide receiver Coleman Owen from the practice squad. Tyquan Lewis, the defensive end, is set to play this week after missing last weeks game.
