Christmas is not about consumerism, glittering decorations, or sentimental fairytales. It is about recognition. It is about honoring the birth of Christ. It is about remembering that love entered the world not through wealth or spectacle, but through humility and hope.
Nowhere in the Bible does it say Jesus was born on the 25th of December. The date is tradition, but the meaning is eternal.
This day is not about stress over what someone will get you, or whether that person will like your gift. It is not about getting into debt. It is not about “Xmas stress.” Stop acting like heathens.
Let us celebrate not with excess, but with reverence. Let us mark this season not with distraction, but with devotion. Christmas is a call to recognize, to honor, and to live in the light of Christ.
