Attitude
Description
The arrangement of the parts of a body or figure and a position assumed for a specific purpose is called attitude.
“My attitude is that if you push me towards something that you think is a weakness, then I will turn that perceived weakness into a strength.” — Michael Jordan
“Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.” — Winston Churchill
“The greatest discovery of all time is that a person can change his future by merely changing his attitude.” Oprah Winfrey
“I just try to keep an attitude that I do not know what I am doing. Not to the point where I am beating myself up, but I just go in thinking that I have a lot to learn. And I hope I still have that attitude 30 years from now.” — Tobey Maguire
“Gratitude should not be just a reaction to getting what you want, but an all the time gratitude, the kind where you notice the little things and where you constantly look for the good, even in unpleasant situations. Start bringing gratitude to your experiences, instead of waiting for a positive experience in order to feel grateful.” — Quotesgram.com
An attitude is a summary evaluation of an object of thought. An attitude object can be anything a person discriminates or holds in mind. Attitudes include beliefs, emotional responses, and behavioral aspects indicating mood or emotion. When you can evaluate your attitudes and how they are formed, you can start to unravel harmful attitudes and replace them with more productive and open-minded ones. Attitudes have been studied in psychology for quite some time as scientists have tried to figure out how people can hold such vastly different beliefs. If you refer to someone as a person with attitude, you mean that they have a striking and individual style of behavior, especially a forceful or aggressive one.
Attitudes are fundamental determinants of our perceptions of, and actions toward all aspects of our social environment. Attitudes involve a complex organization of evaluative beliefs, feelings and tendencies toward certain actions. Attitudes are simply expressions of much we like or dislike various things. Attitudes represent our evaluations, preferences or rejections based on the information we receive. Attitude may be defined as an enduring predisposition or readiness to react or behave in a particular manner to a given object or situation, idea, material or person. An attitude is not a thought or a feeling, but rather a set of small behaviors. It includes facial expressions, tone of voice, and body language. An attitude is a way of thinking that you can express just by standing a certain way. For example putting your hands on your hips and rolling your eyes expresses one kind of attitude.
