Ro: Fulgii de zăpadă cădeau lin, acoperind drumul șerpuit al Transfăgărășanului cu o pătură albă și strălucitoare.
En: The snowflakes were gently falling, covering the winding road of the Transfăgărășan with a bright white blanket.
Ro: Andrei, Ruxandra și Mihai erau în mașină, ca-n vremurile bune, când plecau la colindat pe ulițe.
En: Andrei, Ruxandra, and Mihai were in the car, like in the good old days when they would go caroling through the village streets.
Ro: Acum, însă, înaintau prin iarna aspră, lăsând în urmă orașul agitat.
En: Now, however, they were moving through the harsh winter, leaving behind the bustling city.
Ro: Era perioada Crăciunului, iar nostalgia copilăriei se simțea în aer.

Ro: Dar parcă simt și eu miros de cozonac și vin fiert, ca la bunici, râse ea, încercând să destindă atmosfera.
En: But I feel like I can smell cozonac and mulled wine, just like at grandma's," she laughed, trying to lighten the mood.
Ro: Mihai zâmbea în spatele volanului, făcând glume pentru a-și ascunde neliniștea.
En: Mihai smiled behind the wheel, joking around to hide his uneasiness.
Ro: — Haideți, că doar n-o fi prima oară când ne aventurăm!
En: "Come on, it's not like it's our first adventure!
