Teaching and learning are important processes that are linked to the acquisition of knowledge, values, traditions, skills, behaviors. These two processes are two ends of knowledge acquisition process.

Teaching is the practice implemented by a teacher aimed at transmitting skills to a learner, a student or any other audience in the context of an educational system. Teaching is closely related to learning, the student’s activity of appropriating this knowledge. A teacher also called a school teacher or formally an educator, is a person who helps students to acquire knowledge, competence, or virtue, through practice of teaching. Informally the role of teacher may be taken on by anyone. In some countries teaching young people of school age may be carried out in an informal setting, such as within the family, rather than in a formal setting such as a school or college. Some other professions may involve a significant amount of teaching.

Teaching and learning is a great concept! It is a noble profession. A teacher will play an active role in student’s career once he/she becomes as an individual after completion of their education in reality. A teacher is like a guide, mentor, organizer, creator, adviser, counsellor, consultant, master, therapist, evaluator, administrator, and appreciator in case of students to nurture them in every step of their journey till they grow at different stages makes an impact on the part of students to become as useful citizens of this great nation. If the teacher is like one side of a coin parents will play their role on the other side of a coin and neighbors, friends, community also will play a great role in students’ growth and development as full pledged individuals of this universe. It is a collective effort. Everyone has to play their role as trustees to contribute their level best in all respects at all times on all occasions is worth mentioned here in this respect. Students should cultivate a habit of culture to behave in respectable manner with elders keep them to grow and flourish in their career as good citizens of this world makes sense and gives meaning to the rest to set an example in reality. We should plan to create a disciplined life right from the beginning to start at home will spread to the neighborhood and slowly towards community and then to the world at large makes an impact on everyone in long run. Opportunities are plenty in our system and UGC is encouraging different modes of education for youth to prove their skills in different roles as learners will allow them to fulfill their needs as successful individuals. Vision gives clarity. Strategic planning helps to execute better and the best. It creates team spirit. Teamwork plays vital role. It allows to learn in an innovative and dynamic way to move forward with great zeal of enthusiasm to reach our goals in time and allows to spread the message widely. Knowledge is the base for everything. It is powerful and makes us as useful citizens of this great world.
