Rivers Considered for Colts Workout
The Indianapolis Colts are reportedly considering a return for veteran quarterback Philip Rivers, who retired in July. With both starting and backup quarterbacks injured, Rivers could potentially fill the void. The 44-year-old, who last played in the NFL in 2020, has been coaching high school football since his retirement. He shares a strong connection with Colts head coach Shane Steichen, who was his quarterbacks coach with the Chargers. If Rivers were to start, he would become only the fifth quarterback in NFL history to do so at 44 years old.
