As the College Football Playoff field has been announced, the glaring omission from the field was the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. With Notre Dame on the outside of the CFP looking in, the Irish declined an invitation to play in the Pop-Tarts Bowl and will not play in a postseason bowl game.
