dumb laws that make preparedness harder — and how to prep anyway.
Some of these laws are outdated.
Some are politically motivated.
Some are pushed by corporations to protect profits.
Some exist because some bureaucrat in a cubicle decided you shouldn’t be allowed to take care of yourself.
But here’s the Survival Punk truth:
You’re responsible for your survival. The government isn’t.
So if a law makes that harder? You work around it — safely, legally, and intelligently.
This is Part 1. Let’s get into it.
The Berkey Ban and Why It’s Stupid
In some states, it is literally illegal to ship a Berkey water filter because it doesn’t meet NSF certification.
Not because it doesn’t work — Berkey probably over-filters, if anything.
But because someone in an office decided it wasn’t stamped with the right sticker.
So what happens?

Vendors can’t ship into those states

Customers find out at checkout

Sales get shut down

And people who want clean water get blocked
Meanwhile, bottled water is fine.
Unfiltered tap water is fine.
Filters that remove almost nothing are fine.
But a system that removes bacteria, cysts, metals, chemicals, and viruses?
Yeah — that’s the one they target.
