En: The sky was clear, and the sun shone warmly over the city as Leandie and Jaco reached the foot of Tafelberg early in the morning.
Af: Die opwinding om die berg te trotseer vul Leandie se hart met bravade, terwyl Jaco sy oë loer oor sy toerusting.
En: The excitement to conquer the mountain filled Leandie's heart with bravado, while Jaco cautiously checked over his equipment.
