Answers with Ken Ham - Was There a Historical Adam?

Description
This is Ken Ham, heading up the ministry that built a full-size Ark near Cincinnati.

Many Christians today are questioning the existence of a historical Adam because of evolutionary ideas. Is this okay? Definitely not!

A historical Adam is foundational to the gospel. In the New Testament, Paul says, “The first man Adam” and “as death comes through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man.” It’s because of the physical actions of the first man that there’s death in creation.

Without a physical Adam who sinned, why did Jesus need to come and die physically to save us from sin? And why did he need to rise physically to conquer death? Rejecting a historical Adam actually destroys the gospel!
