Rick Bosshardt has been a plastic surgeon in Tavares, FL for 35 years. A graduate of the University of Miami Leonard Miller School of Medicine, he trained as a general surgeon in the US Navy in Oakland, CA and was board-certified by the American Board of Surgery. He completed his residency in plastic surgery at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital program under world-reknown plastic surgeon, D. Ralph Millard and began his own practice in 1989. He is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons for over thirty years. For 25 years he wrote a weekly medical column for the Orlando Sentinel. In April 2022, he was banned for life from access to the ACS discussion forums by the leadership for refusing to back down in objecting to its adoption of DEI. His fight took a new turn when the ACS leadership closed the discussion forums for good. (optional) His writings have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, National Review, City Journal, and other publications.
