Story Transcript:
En: The bells in Piran were ringing as Anže stepped off the bus.
Sl: Ozračje je bilo sveže in hladno, medtem ko je veter nežno pihal nad modrim Jadranskim morjem.
En: The air was fresh and chilly, while the wind gently blew over the blue Adriatic Sea.
Sl: Kamnite ulice Pirana so bile prazne, saj so vsi domačini že hiteli pripraviti vse potrebno za bližajoči se god sv. Miklavža.
En: The stone streets of Piran were empty since all the locals were already rushing to prepare everything needed for the upcoming feast of St. Nicholas.
En: Anže took a deep breath, trying to shake off the worries of university that had followed him from Ljubljana.
Sl: Anže je imel pred seboj kratek sprehod do majhne kamnite hiše svoje družine v središču mesta.
En: Anže had a short walk ahead to the small stone house of his family in the town center.
Sl: Mateja in Neža, njegova mati in mlajša sestra, sta ga že čakali.
En: Mateja and Neža, his mother and younger sister, were already waiting for him.
Sl: Mateja ga je objela: »Dobrodošel domov, moj sin,« je rekla s toplim nasmehom.
En: Mateja hugged him: "Welcome home, my son," she said with a warm smile.
En: Neža hugged him around the waist: "We missed you!"
Sl: Kljub njihovim nasmehom in radosti je Anže globoko v srcu še vedno čutil neko praznino.
En: Despite their smiles and joy, Anže still felt a certain emptiness deep in his heart.
En: He closed his eyes and wondered if this emptiness was only temporary.
Sl: Prvi večer doma so preživeli ob pečenju piškotov v kuhinji.
En: The first evening at home was spent baking cookies in the kitchen.
Sl: Mateja je iz omare izvlekla stare družinske fotografije, polne lepih spominov preteklih praznikov.
En: Mateja took out old family photos, full of beautiful memories of past holidays.
En: But Anže barely mustered the courage to open up about his true feelings.
En: The next day, just before sunset, they went for a walk along the town's promenade.
Sl: Morje je sijalo v zlatih odtenkih, ko je Mateja rekla: »Anže, si videti zamišljen. Kaj te teži?«
En: The sea glistened in golden hues as Mateja said, "You seem pensive, Anže. What's troubling you?"
En: "I don't know," he began, "I feel lost about university.
En: I’m not sure if it’s the right choice for me.
En: And... sometimes I feel like I've become too distant from you all."
En: Neža gently took his hand.
Sl: »Vedno si dobrodošel.
En: "You're always welcome.
En: The family is always here for you, no matter what."
Sl: Mateja je pokimala: »Prav
