# Artificial Lure's Thursday Morning Fishing Report – December 4th, 2025
What's up, anglers! Artificial Lure here with your Thursday morning report for Southern California.
**Tidal Conditions**
We've got king tides rolling through today and tomorrow, folks. High tides are running 7.2 to 7.8 feet out there, with the best action happening between 6 and 10 AM. If you're heading out this morning, we've got a low tide at 1:19 AM and a high tide at 7:41 AM right here in LA. This is actually prime time for targeting structure and edges where the fish are stacking up.
**Weather Watch**
Conditions are looking decent with elevated surf of 5 to 6 feet in Orange and San Diego counties. Sunrise is hitting at 6:55 AM and sunset at 4:51 PM, so you've got a good window to work with this morning.
**Fish Activity & Recent Catches**
The action's been solid lately. Out of Marina del Rey, anglers have been pulling sheephead and sand bass consistently. Up in Cabo, they just wrapped November with an absolute banner month—striped marlin releases, massive yellowfin tuna runs, and solid dorado numbers. We're seeing that same energy carrying into December down south.
**What They're Hitting**
For bait, mackerel and ballyhoo are producing. If you're throwing artificials, go with plumas and palitos. The best action is happening tight to structure—rocks, weedy edges, and kelp paddies. Early morning topwater can work, but slow weedless soft plastics in natural or dark colors are getting consistent work.
**Hot Spots**
Head down to the LA Waterfront—lobster action has been firing off. Also check out anywhere along the kelp paddies if you can get out there. The structure is holding fish right now.
