But here's the kicker: fear masquerades as perfectionism, convincing us that flawless equals safety.
But guess what? You can’t reach perfection without those messy drafts, and you can’t create those drafts if you never take the leap. It’s like driving with the handbrake on—you're moving, but the panic is palpable. One night, I decided to hit record anyway, imperfections and all, and to my surprise, it resonated with listeners. They loved the authenticity of it all! It was a turning point for me; I realised that done is better than perfect, and that vulnerability often shines brighter than polish.
We all don our invisible armour to protect our egos, but that armour can be heavy and stifling. So, here’s your invitation: lower the bar!
