IN POLITICAL NEWS

1) The TN special election brought out every panican doomspooger and his brother. "The GOP's gonna lose this race!" "Epstein! (Sqwak!) Epstein." "Israel!" Just yesterday Politico blared "GOP FRETS (get it? They are fretting---when they aren't "pouncing") dangerous result in TN". Well none of that came to pass. Matt Van Epps won by over 8 points, but the

-now creepily predictable doomspooge brigade whines "Trump won by 22.' Indeed this is the subheader in the All Bill Clinton News Network headline! Can we talk? I mean, can we really talk? Seth Keshel in his column today explains this was not only an off-year election but an off-off-year election; that the district is heavily rural; and that typically turnout is MUCH lower for plain old "off year" elections. The only place you're going to find uber-heavy turnout when Trump isn't on the ballot is if the DemoKKKrats give away Golden Corral coupons. By the way, Seth did not make a prediction publicly, but in a phone convo yesterday he told me that Van Epps would with with between 5-8 points. So even Seth was a tad low. So how bad was this DemoKKKrat loss? The Hill said Democrats “went all in." The Democrat House Majority PAC blew $1m in the PAC's first special election, and the DCCC (all that's missing is the "P" at the end of that) also dumped $1m, plus PACs put in still more, while the useless DemoKKKrat herself also burned up $1.2 million after she said she hated Nashville and Country Music. Van Epps, at $993,000, was outspent nearly 3;1 and the DemoKKKrat STILL lost by 8. But wait. It gets even worse for DemoKKKrats. They focus tested the "affordability" message, and it flopped, even after Cackles, DNC Chairman Ken Martin, and many other big-name DemoKKKrats, with nothing to do between Thanksgiving and Christmas, appeared in TN to "get out the vote."

2) Welp, surely then the voter registrations have shifted in the DemoKKKrats' favor, no? No. It is important to understand that in many cases, the November reports show a lot of voter roll purging with both sides dropping. In AZ, for example, both sides dropped, but Ds dropped a lot more. NC saw both drop, but Ds fell by 10,000 more than Rs. In OR, both parties lost but Ds lost 4,000 more than Rs; in Blue CO, Rs lost 30,000 but Ds lost 36,000 for a net GOP "gain" of 6,000; same general result in RI, where Rs lost 630 but Ds dropped 3,886; meanwhile in NM, which has seen an almost 5,000 shift to Rs in the past several months, both parties gained, but Rs net gained about 400 more. LA showed Rs gaining, Ds losing (about 4,000 net); FL, right on cue, adds another 10,000 net Rs. Then there is OK, which to a lesser degree than FL, continues its deep reddening as Rs net gained 1600;
