Colts Add Kicker Grupe, Release Morrissey
The Indianapolis Colts have added kicker Blake Grupe to their practice squad, releasing center Jimmy Morrissey in the process. Grupe, previously with the New Orleans Saints, brings kicking experience to the Colts special teams. Despite perfect extra point accuracy this season, his field goal success rate has been inconsistent. The Colts special teams coordinator, Brian Mason, previously coached Grupe at Notre Dame, likely influencing the teams decision to sign him.
