The Triple Slaying of the Airst Family and the Fagans

The Triple Slaying of the Airst Family and the Fagans

Season 1 Episode 509

The Triple Slaying of the Airst Family and the Fagans Two Families. Two Crimes. One Killer—or Two?

On September 30th, 1979, three members of the Airst family were found brutally beaten to death inside their quiet North York home. Ike, Celia, and their son Avrom had been attacked with unimaginable violence. There was no forced entry. No robbery. No suspects. No answers.

Just 18 months earlier and only 1.5 km away, Harold and Florence Fagan were executed in their upscale Dewbourne Avenue home. They too were well-known. They too were targeted inside their sanctuary. And again—no forced entry, no strangers, and no clear motive.

Were these murders political? Personal? Or connected by something darker?

We examine the evidence, rumors, suspects, and the families left behind. Two brutal crimes. Two prominent families. And a community still haunted decades later.

Because every case deserves answers—and every victim deserves justice.
