Sl: Mateja je stala na obali Blejskega jezera.
En: Mateja stood on the shore of Blejsko jezero.
Sl: Led je pokrival gladino in snežinke so počasi padale iz sivega neba.
En: Ice covered the surface and snowflakes slowly fell from the gray sky.
Sl: Božič je bil blizu in to je pomenilo, da se bliža tudi zimski festival.
En: Christmas was near and that meant the winter festival was also approaching.
Sl: Mateja je vsako leto organizirala festival in vedno je bil uspešen.
En: Mateja organized the festival every year, and it was always successful.
Sl: Letos pa je bilo nekaj posebnega v zraku.
En: However, there was something special in the air this year.
Sl: Legenda o starodavnem artefaktu je burila njeno domišljijo.
En: The legend of an ancient artifact stirred her imagination.
Sl: Pod Blejskim jezerom naj bi bila skrita votlina.
En: Under Blejsko jezero, a hidden cave was said to exist.
Sl: V njej naj bi bil artefakt, ki prinaša srečo.
En: In it, there was supposed to be an artifact that brings luck.
Sl: Prav to bi Mateji koristilo, da bi festival postal nepozaben.
En: That's exactly what Mateja needed to make the festival unforgettable.
Sl: Ampak kako bi našla čas, da bi šla iskati artefakt in obenem poskrbela za festival?
En: But how could she find time to search for the artifact while also taking care of the festival?
Sl: Luka in Ana, njena dobra prijatelja, sta ji pomagala z okraševanjem trga in pripravo programa.
En: Luka and Ana, her good friends, helped her with decorating the square and preparing the program.
Sl: Mateja pa je imela skrivni načrt.
En: Mateja, however, had a secret plan.
Sl: Ponoči, ko so vsi spali, je vzela svetilko in se odpravila proti jezeru.
En: At night, when everyone was asleep, she took a flashlight and set off towards the lake.
Sl: Snežilo je in bilo je zelo mrzlo.
En: It was snowing and very cold.
Sl: Za hip je pomislila, da bi bilo bolje, če bi počakala na toplejše dni.
En: For a moment, she thought it might be better to wait for warmer days.
Sl: Ampak vedela je, da mora poskusiti zdaj.
En: But she knew she had to try now.
Sl: Vhod v votlino je bil skrit za starimi drevesi ob robu jezera.
En: The entrance to the cave was hidden behind old trees at the edge of the lake.
Sl: Mateja je previdno stopila vanjo.
En: Mateja cautiously stepped inside.
Sl: Zrak je bil hladen in vonjal je po mokrem kamenju.
En: The air was cold, smelling of wet stone.
Sl: Skozi hodnik je šlo tiho, vsak korak je odmeval v praznino.
En: She moved quietly through the corridor; each step echoed into the emptiness.
Sl: Okoli so visele ledene sveče, ki so se bleščale v svetlobi njene svetilke.
En: Icicles hung around, gleaming in her flashlight's glow.
Sl: Po nekaj minutah hoje je Mateja naletela na majhno komoro.
En: After a few minutes of walking, Mateja stumbled upon a small chamber.
Sl: Tam je bila voda, ki je odbijala svetlobo s površine jezera nad njo.
En: There was water there, reflecting the light from the lake's surface above.

En: In the center of the chamber, something glowed in the dark.
